Motion is the change in position of an object. The motion of an object can be of following three types:
a) Rectilinear motion: In this type of motion a particle or a body moves along a straight line.
b) Rotatory motion: It is that motion in which a body moves in such a way that all its constituent particles moves simultaneously along concentric circles.
c) Oscillatory or Vibratory motion: In this type of motion body moves back and forth repeatedly about a fixed point in a definite interval of time.
